Volunteers

Volunteerism is one of the fundamental pillars of Acci? Emprendedora. Today, we have more than 200 volunteers who promote our work in our Entrepreneurship Centers as well as in Chilean municipalities.

In an ever-globalizing world, time and time again volunteerism, or the uncompensated contributions of one’s time, skills, and talent, has proven to be a necessary component of poverty alleviation throughout the world.

Indeed, volunteering is a highly valued alternative to financial donations.

One very important element that should be emphasized is how our model has the potential to generate as much of a positive impact on the volunteer as it does for the micro entrepreneurs, as it is the volunteers who put into practice a series of learned skills necessary to achieve success with respective assignments. These skills are improved as the volunteering is carried out, allowing as much personal development as professional for the volunteer worker. It is not rare that, in terms of personal satisfaction and the amount that their skills improve during the process, the greatest beneficiaries of the process end up being the volunteers themselves

Volunteers for Acci? Emprendedora can be students of higher education (universities and technical training institutes) who are usually in their final years of studies, as well as professionals with a commitment to public service. Both the knowledge and professional experience brought to the organization by our volunteers are fundamental for program success.
